Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to
develop a hands-on mathematics activity
design an implementation plan for an activity developed throughout the course
implement a hands-on mathematics activity in a classroom
discover several mathematical concepts using manipulatives and technological tools
demonstrate several mathematical concepts using hands-on, models or by paper cutting and folding techniques
develop mathematical communication and problem solving skills,
make connections among mathematical concepts as well as between real-world and mathematical realm
learn presentation of mathematics in a more engaging, real-world manner in the classroom
become self-confident and have positive attitudes towards learning and teaching mathematics
realize the importance of use of manipulatives and technological tools to teach several mathematical concepts
