This course is designed to teach the students of biological sciences the basics of Physical Chemistry and Thermodynamics. The main topics include the Laws of Thermodynamics followed by Reaction Kinetics and finally ending with some introduction to Radiation Chemistry and Radiation Biology. The information learned in this course is quite crucial for the life sciences students as the understanding of molecular interactions and reactions necessitates some knowledge of endothermic, exothermic reactions, Gibbs energies, entropy, reaction rate and the influence of temperature on them.
