Since 1957 the Space Era has started. Human activities in the Near Earth Space (NES)  ( about 150 million kilometers).  Besides Astrophysics , there have been three new "Space" disciplines  emerged , i.e. Space  Physics; Earth Observations; Manufacturing in Space. AE551 will create awareness towards understanding and learning the NES space environment and basic process' involved.

It is necessary to know the space environment scientifically for an aerospace engineer. The design and manufacturing of the space vehicles, to improve the performance in any relevant activity are only possible knowing the space conditions. In this course, the advanced information about the space around the Earth and the interaction with space weather and technology are going to be given to the students.
