This course is designed to teach carefully selected advanced topics in mechanics of materials. The objective of the course is to broaden the horizons of the graduates of the Civil Engineering Department in the field of mechanics of materials. The course also aims at creation of an environment in which the students are encouraged to participate in the development of solution algorithms of various problems and, in this way, to improve their problem solving skills.
