Course Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

1. Explain aquifer properties and the governing physical principles of flow in porous media.

2. Learn the fundamental equations of groundwater flow in confined, unconfined, and variably saturated systems.

3. Perform analytical and numerical solutions of groundwater flow problems.

4. Interpret laboratory measurements in relation to theory.

5. Analyze well hydraulics and saltwater intrusion problems.

6. Review recent developments in groundwater hydraulics and present findings through a term project.
