The main objective of the course is to acquaint the students with background knowledge in designing and analyzing the well tests, deriving the fundamental equations describing the transient fluid flow in porous media, traditional and modern analysis methods. The other objectives are to develop students' ability to apply integrated knowledge of math and basic sciences to the solution of problems related to fluid flow and reservoir performance predictions and provide students with information needed on well test analysis methods to improve their quantitative capabilities in solving reservoir engineering problems.
