Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:
• Analyze the decision-making process of Turkish foreign policy and the key actors, institutions, and processes involved
• Evaluate the international and domestic context of decision-making in the age of globalization and how they shape Turkey's foreign policy choices
• Examine the administration of foreign policy in the context of Turkey's search for security and how Turkey navigates regional and global security challenges
• Assess the normative, objective, domestic, and bureaucratic politics of Turkey's integration into the European Union and the complex interplay of factors that shape Turkey's EU accession process
• Analyze the administration of Turkey's foreign economic relations and how Turkey manages its economic ties with other countries and regions
• Understand the administration of Turkish foreign policy issues related to the Ottoman Legacy and how Turkey's historical and cultural ties to the former Ottoman territories shape its contemporary foreign policy
