Course Learning Outcomes

Having successfully completed this course, the student will be able to:

(1) Compute moment-curvature relationships using material models and manual calculation methods

(2) Carry out deflection calculations in reinforced concrete beams considering the redistribution potential of reinforced concrete

(3) Design reinforced concrete members for combined shear and torsion

(4) Design/Assess reinforced concrete slabs for punching shear (recap from CVE382)

(5) Apply capacity design principles for seismic design and assessment

(6) Discuss repair and strengthening techniques for reinforced concrete structures

(7) Detail reinforced concrete members for proper bond and anchorage requirements (recap from CVE382)
