Students who passed the course satisfactorily will be able to:
- identify the current concerns for the conservation of cultural heritage in relation to the contemporary global | international | national | and local context and events;
- correlate the impacts of social, economic, and political context and forces with current conservation theory and practice;
- analyze and interpret the leading paradigms and parameters in the conservation of cultural heritage;
- examine the tendencies, priorities, and challenges for current issues in heritage studies influenced by various factors;
- appraise the position and politics of research in the conservation of cultural heritage;
- assess and critique the reflections on the range of issues that influence conservation theory and practice in different countries, including Turkey.
