This is an interdisciplinary course of physical and social sciences providing the knowledge of principles and methods of coastal zone management (CZM). Students will be able:
• To synthesize data on physical, social, economic and ecological properties of a coastal region for multidimensional analysis
• To learn to formulate, to analyze and to predict coastal zone problems both natural and man-made
• To plan and to evaluate different types of solutions (engineering and other) at different spatial and time domains
• To interpret theories of management to formulate and to evaluate an ICZM plan
