By the end of this course the students will be able to i) select suitable hydropower plant type for specific needs, ii) design hydraulic structures of hydropower plants such as surge tank, iii) carry out hydropower energy analysis, iv) evaluate environmental impacts of various hydropower plant types, v) develop engineering solutions to site-specific problems, vi)  learn current and practical problems associated with hydropower plant construction.
