Course Objectives

Students become familiar with one of the most significant philosophical works of 19th century German philosophy.

They develop critical thinking in coming to understand the themes and the central problem of this work of G.W.F. Hegel's Phenomenology.  They develop interpretative skills in reading the text.

They become familiar with the logical arguments and the method of Hegel's phenomenology.
