Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to
- analyze a simple physical phenomena in order to create a mathematical model;
- set up a mathematical/computational model that contains the key elements of the problem;
- develop and interpret mathematical models;
- interpret numerical results given by program in order to predict the behavior of the system;
- critically reflect on the scientific merits and mathematical accuracy of their work;
- conduct independent project work and disseminate the results in the form of a poster or a manuscript.
