At the successful completion of this course, the student is expected to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:
- The structure and function of the components of the central nervous system
- Theory and research on the biological bases of mental processes
- The interaction between different levels of analysis (i.e., cellular, individual, group, society)
- Variety of techniques used to investigate how the brain subserves behaviour
- The necessity to tolerate complexity and ambiguity in psychological sciences (e.g., the interaction between heredity and environment, the spectral nature of mental health)
