By the end of the course, students will:

• be familiar with the origins, challenges and purposes of urban regeneration,
• be able to comment on the basic themes and topics of urban regeneration,
• learn in-depth the related-topic they choose, examine, make oral and written presentations,
• be familiar with the experience of urban regeneration in the world and Turkey
• be able to draw the major lessons from the past and present experience of urban regeneration in order to identify the future role, and prospects for urban regeneration in Turkish cities.
