The primary focus of this course is to establish necessary theoretical background on Boolean functions and their cryptographic properties such as nonlinearity, differential uniformity, correlation immunity and resiliance. The applications of Boolean functions in stream ciphers as pseudorandom number generators will also be discussed and their statistical properties will be investigated.
