This course aims at exploring the fundamentals of urban question from the perspective of different disciplines –urban sociology, urban geography, cultural studies, political philosophy into architecture. The primary objective of this course, in tune with UD 501 + ARCH 505 Urban &Architectural Design Research Studio, is therefore not only to observe how different disciplines conceive the urban phenomena; but also, to create awareness on these perceptions and their influences on architectural discourse and design approaches with respect to urban space.
