The objectives of GEOE 491-Geological Engineering Design I is to:

Expose students to the key concepts of engineering design in order to enhance their ability to integrate this knowledge with their basic science and engineering background;

Develop student’s ability to use modern engineering techniques, skills and tools for engineering design;

Develop an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility;

Increase awareness on health and safety issues;

Increase exposure to geological engineering design projects through case studies and project proposals.
