Having successfully completed this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems involving experimental apparatus.
- Estimate mean and standard deviation of a sample data to analyze experiment uncertainty.
- Apply chi-square and student’s t tests.
- Apply method of least squares to develop equations from experimental data and evaluate the accuracy with which equations predict experimental data.
- Present the results of engineering experiments, make and support conclusions from these experiments in clear and concise reports.
- Use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice involving experimental setup and experimental data analysis.
- Describe and use different measurement techniques for length, pressure, temperature and stress measurements.
