Students, who passed the course satisfactorily will be able to:
- describe sediment properties and mechanisms of incipient motion under waves and currents,
- analyze sediment transport and beach processes in relation to shoreline evolution,
- evaluate the effectiveness of coastal protection structures and management practices such as groins, breakwaters, seawalls, nourishment, and dredging,
- apply engineering methods to propose solutions for sedimentation and erosion problems in coastal and estuarine environments.
