By the end of the term, the students will have

*gained a substantial insight into the nature of aesthetics,

*acquired a novel outlook concerning issues such as art, beauty, taste and judgment of taste,

*become familiar with the aesthetic notions of some philosophers prominent in the field,

*developed their critical thinking skills.
