By the end of this course, the students are expected to;

·         know the schooling structure and  the legal bases of Turkish National Education

·         be familiar with code of ethics and the legal bases concerned with the teaching profession

·         comprehend basic and related concepts of education

·         comprehend basic characteristics/skills of teachers

·         understand philosophical, sociological and psychological foundations of education and their roles in teaching

·         understand and suggest alternative solutions to problems of education

·         develop interest in education and teaching as a profession
