As covered in the scope of the course, the complex relations between the travel demand
Students taking this course are expected to
* mathematically represent characteristics and topology of transportation networks
* understand the fundamental relations between travel demand and its impact on a traffic network
* mathematically model traffic assignment to the network for different travel behaviors.
* find shortest paths using available alogrithms (i.e. Dijkstra algorithm) between a given origin-destination pair
* evaluate outputs from network traffic models to support decision-making in planning and operations.
* compare the strengths and limitations of different traffic assignment approaches in practical applications.
