At the end of the course, the students will be familiar with the advanced modelling concepts in micromechanical modelling of metallic materials which is necessary for the engineers of the current century. With ongoing miniaturization in several industries new physics based modeling techniques are required to analyze the components having micron dimensions . The classical continuum scale constitutive equations are not valid in this situation. Therefore the students will get informed about the limits of the softwares that they use in engineering analysis and they will learn solutions to overcome these difficulties.
