At the end of the course, the students will have a basic knowledge of information theory and its relevance to cryptography. Also, students will be familiar with Boolean functions and associated properties such as Walsh transform, nonlinearity, correlation immunity.  Another important outcome will be a solid understanding of block ciphers and the other constructions based on block ciphers. At the end of the course, students will be able to apply differential and linear cryptanalysis techniques.
