At the successful completion of this course, students are expected to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:
- Characteristics of common disorders in childhood
- Diagnostic classification, epidemiology and aetiology of common psychological problems, including autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and conduct disorder
- Cognitive, behavioural, and physiological research concerning psychological disorders in children
- A range of data collection and analysis techniques used in developmental research
