At the end of this course, students ;

- will be familiar with the general characteristics of the Ottoman labor,

- will be able to identify Ottoman labor profiles, and ethnic and gender divisions in the working life,

- will be able demonstrate knowledge of key historical facts and social and economic conditions and politics that have shaped production and working life and labor in the Ottoman Empire,

- will be able to learn characteristics of Ottoman labor organizations,

- will be able to identify Ottoman state and employers’ politics in the working life,

- will be able to demonstrate their understanding of relation between the labor protests and exploitation of rights in the working life,

- will be to examine the sources of the Ottoman labor history in particular and labor history studies in general.
