This course aims to provide advanced level knowledge in phase relations properties of materials. At the end of this course student should be capable of:
- How to control phases of different types of engineering materials
- In depth knowledge in mechanical properties of materials
- In depth knowledge in electrical, magnetic and optical properties of materials
- Correlate microstructure and phases of materials with changes in mechanical and electrical properties
- Design materials having desired mechanical or electrical/optical/magnetic properties
