In general, this course is aimed to understand the definition and theory of emotion as well as classical and current research in psychology of emotion and apply the information on emotion to real life situations.

Students are expected to learn:

• Theories of emotions
• Cognitive approaches to emotions
• The five continents of emotions (disgust, sadness, fear, enjoyable emotions and anger) + guilt and shame
• The individual and environment
• Cultural issues and other emotional themes

Students will also have chance to reconsider themselves in terms of emotional awareness, regulation, appraisals, and acceptance.
