Upon completion of this course, the students will be able to:
-write about the core of their teaching philosophy and how they would be able to enact that in their teaching contexts
-describe their context of practicum in writing through journal writing (Knowledge of Sociocultural Context) and discuss how this affects teaching & learning in reflective writing
-discuss and decide what units will be taught, what materials will be needed and the learning outcomes (Knowledge of Subject Matter, Curriculum)
-write/explain/demostrate how they will teach (Knowledge of Pedagogy). Ways (approaches, methods, and techniques) of teaching.
- write after each observation /teaching a brief reflective piece on how they felt about the lesson and discuss their strenghts and areas of improvement (Knowledge of Teacher Development and Growth)
- develop, design, and delivery of a lesson.
-reflect on appropriate strategies to help students learn effectively.
-evaluate their own teaching effectiveness and creatively revise their approaches for improvement.
-document their development as a teacher through preparation of a well-designed learning/teaching journal
