At the end of the semester students are expected to

1) Be able to use the data, theoretical framework, and historical development of world system, to define, understand, evaluate and discuss the strucure of the world economy as well as current developments and trends in world economy.

2) Question and rethink our preconceptions about the past, present, and future of the global economy. 

3) Improve their critical thinking, presentation and writing skills.
