The objective of the course is to have students

1. develop an understanding of the fundamental concepts and processes which govern the fate and transport of pollutants in subsurface environment (i.e., soil and groundwater media) and

2. learn how to apply these concepts to the solution of environmental engineering problems related to soil and water quality management, waste disposal, and contaminated site assessment and remediation.
