1 To ably perform written and oral communication at European Language Portfolio level B2 since the language of education is English.
2 To be able to analyze complex problems from a constructively critical viewpoint in Chemical Oceanography, Marine-atmospheric chemistry, and climatological/anthropogenic mediated impacts of marine ecosystems, and therefore become leading scientist candidates within their research field.
3 To be able to produce an original thesis and at least one scientific publication in citation index journals thereby contributing to broadening the knowledge on Chemical Oceanography, Marine-atmospheric Chemistry, its interactions and nutrient cycling.
4 To be able to write original project proposals and conduct independent research which contribute to improvements in the field of Chemical Oceanography (chemistry/interactions, monitoring and modelling of climatological/anthropogenic mediated impacts of marine ecosystems) and Marine-atmospheric/Marine ecosystems related research.
5 To possess occupational and ethical responsibility regarding Chemical Oceanography and Marine Chemistry, riverine-atmospheric inputs, the effects of climatological/anthropogenic pressures on marine ecosystems.
6 To not be solely specialized in their own field of expertise but also to have a very proficient knowledge of the physical and biogeochemical characteristics of Turkish Seas.
