Course Learning Outcomes

Students can define what chemistry is and uses this concept  in their daily life.  Students realizes the difference between chemical and physical changes in laboratory by carrying out the experiments. Students solve thermochemical problems and apply them to chemical problems. Students can judge whether a chemical reaction goes forward or not by calculating the Gibbs free energy. Students understand the importance of entropy. Students can define the types of chemical bonds. Students can write what kind of bonds are formed by looking at the atomic properties. Students can state the properties of states of  matter.
