The course objective is to give students an understanding of how foreign policy is made and implemented by state actors. In this context, the sudents will learn :

the nature, scope, and definition of foreign policy;

the impact of main theories and methods of international relations on foreign policy studies;

internal and  external sources of foreign policy behaviour;

decision making bodies and process;

the relations between the foreign policy and non-state actors;

various approaches and methods to the study of foreign policy.
