This course is designed to provide the students with an understanding of the role of money in the economy, how financial markets work, and impact of financial markets on the domestic and international economic system, monetary policy and monetary transmission mechanisms. Upon completion of this course students are expected to develop a better understanding of the tools, role and limits of the monetary policy. This course should be a step in developing students’ abilities to work in the financial or banking sector, along with giving all students an increased appreciation of how the economy works.
