This course aims to reflct on critically the role and meaning of ‘Europe’ within a global context. The students upon the completion of the course should be able to identify and analyse the key areas in which Europe is becoming an increasingly important actor as well as develop a critical outlook in terms of the increasing complexity of issues arising in Europe, particularly in the EU
