Course Objectives

By the end of the course, students will: 

• Define animal models for disease and be aware of their advantages and disadvantages

• Understand how animal models contribute to the study of neurological disorders in humans and recognize the limitations of such models

• Define which behavioural models for rodents measure what type of behaviour and how they work

• Acquire the skills needed to evaluate, critique, and present primary research articles from leading academic journals
