Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

• Understand the conceptual basis of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Policy and its association with development

• Analyze the evolution of STI Policy in the context of globalization and its implications for policy intervention

• Apply the Innovation Systems concept as a framework for understanding the rationale for STI Policy intervention for development

• Examine the basic credentials and concepts of Turkish and European STI Policy and their relevance for Turkey's integration with Europe in the field of STI

• Assess the challenges and opportunities for Turkey's integration with Europe in the field of STI, including policy and institutional frameworks and practical examples of recent policy trends

• Develop critical thinking and analytical skills in understanding the complex dynamics of STI Policy and its role in development
