Course Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

• Analyze the evolution of political systems, ideologies, and institutions over time

• Understand the relationship between political, social, economic, and cultural factors in shaping historical events

• Apply the methods and approaches used in the study of political history, including primary source analysis, comparative analysis, and historiographical interpretation

• Evaluate the relevance of political history to understanding contemporary political issues and debates

• Develop critical thinking and analytical skills in interpreting historical evidence and arguments

• Communicate effectively about political history through written and oral presentations
