Course Learning Outcomes
- The students are expected to:
- Be familiar with and able to discuss several different theoretical perspectives in the general field of psychopathology.
- Be able to apply these theoretical perspectives in reviewing each of the psychopathological conditions covered in the course.
- Be familiar with some basic mainstream understandings of psychopathology including psychoanalytical and psychiatric (mainly DSM-5 classification) approaches to mental disorders and the related criteria to name psychopathologies.
- Be able to apply these theory-based understandings to cases by naming and classifying mental disorders.
- Have an introductory level knowledge about psychopathology in formulating the cases and deriving appropriate intervention strategies for a broad spectrum of psychopathological conditions.
