The objectives of this course is to integrate basic information on geomechanics and previous engineering mechanics background knowledge to enhance solving advanced geological engineering problems such as continuum analysis, deformable body mechanics and elasticity, strength of rock & failure criteria, state of stress in rock including theory and field measurements, behavior of rock and three-dimensional stress and strain analysis.
