This course is designed mainly to introduce the students to the evolution of Turkey’s international relations since the establishment of the republic and particularly the principal issues of contemporary Turkish foreign policy. The period from 1960 until nowadays will be the second part of this lecture. Special attention will be paid to the impact of the changes in the international system as well as the domestic context of foreign policymaking. Structures, actors, and processes of Turkish foreign policy will be examined through different periods and issues.
