By the end of this course, the students will learn the fundamentals of hydropower, power capacity and utilization. They will be able to design  varies parts of hydropower plants such as intakes, canals, tunnels, head ponds, surge tanks, penstocks, valves. The students will be able to select turbine types, dimensions and carry out power production analysis.
