Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

- Analyze Legal Impact: Assess the effects and impact of legal issues on individuals and society, including encounters with legal conflicts and the protection of fundamental rights.
- Identify Legal Sources: Identify and interpret the various sources of law, such as charters, constitutions, statutes, customs, usages, and governmental regulations.
- Evaluate Individual Rights: Understand the rights, obligations, and privileges of individuals, and evaluate issues related to the violations of individual rights by the government and the abuse of governmental powers.
- Explain Governmental Structure: Explain the principles of checks and balances, the separation of church and state, and the separation of powers among the Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary branches.
- Differentiate Legal Categories: Differentiate between public and private laws, understand the significance of international treaties, and analyze the role and regulations of legal entities, including the law of the European Union.
