Course Learning Outcomes

The students will develop their skills of formulating, analyzing and solving problems around multiphase chemical reactors. Intraparticle and interphase mass transfer limitations will be analyzed for gas-liquid-solid phase reactors where solid ğhase could be an inert, a reactant or a catalyst.  Hydrodynamics of the multiphase reactors will be investigated through pressure drop, liquid hold-up and wetting characteristics. Knowledge will be acquired for mathematical models for slurry reactors, trickle-bed reactors and bubble-column reactors.
