By the end of this course students will be able to:
- Model the static and dynamic mode of chemical processes.
- Construct transfer function models based on the dynamic time-domain model of systems using Laplace transforms.
- Study and analyze the dynamic behavior of chemical processes.
- Study and analyze the dynamic reponse of the chemical processes with respect to different standard inputs and disturbances.
- Understand different elements of a feedback control system, and simplify the block-digram of complicated processes.
- Understand the structure of PID controllers and their transfer functions.
- Implement a controller into the closed-loop system and study the performance of the controller.
