This course is a continuation of CHM 111. It presents a detailed study of topics that are not covered in CHM 111.  It aims at developing an advanced understanding of important chemical concepts and models, and demonstrating the practical applications of chemistry to other fields of science and engineering. 

The course also provides further training in laboratory skills and techniques, and aims at preparing students to devise experiments on their own.
