At the end of this course, the student will learn:
- major economists’ view of policy actions and processes in post-war Europe, in particular the issue of co-ordinated economic policy under the EU (or the EEC)
- alternative political economy work on EU responses to the recent financial crisis
- time-specific observations across a wide-ranging material of policy analysis in the areas of European industrial, trade, financial market and labour market regulation.
