Student, who passed the course satisfactorily will be able to:
- describe the historical, philosophical, psychological, and social foundations of early childhood education,
- identify different issues pertaining to diversity as well as their impact on young children’s education,
- discuss techniques to establish positive relationships with parents,
- describe the role of technology in early childhood education,
- demonstrate an understanding of legislation and public policy as it affects young children, families, and programs for children; and
- demonstrate an awareness of current trends and issues in the field of early childhood education.
